Research
I am currently working as a Staff Scientist in Kapahi Lab at the Buck Institute for researh on Aging, Novato, CA, USA. My research is focused on deciphering the role of advanced glycation end products (AGEs) in aging and Alzheimer’s disease (AD). My work will determine the metabolic networks that influence the production of AGEs and define the mechanisms by which hyperglycemia enhances the risk of AD. Before joining the Buck Institute, I worked as a postdoctoral research associate at the Washington State University. In my previous research, I characterized the function of neuronal G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) and uncovered the mechanism and role of neurotransmitter Octopamine in regulating immunity and aging in Caenorhabditis elegans.
